Key Responsibilities Draft bespoke wills, trusts, and estate planning documents for high-net-worth clients Advise on advanced wealth transfer techniques including GRATs, IDGTs, SLATs, and Chapter 14 compliant structures Prepare and review estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax returns Manage estate and trust administration, including probate filings and fiduciary accountings Counsel clients on charitable planning, family business succession, and life insurance structuring Collaborate with tax, corporate, and litigation teams on cross-disciplinary matters Stay current on federal and state tax law developments impacting estate planning Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school; strong academic credentials required 2–7 years of relevant experience in private client, trusts & estates, or taxation practice Admission to the bar in relevant jurisdiction(s) Exceptional drafting, analytical, and communication skills Experience with high-net-worth clients, family offices, or private equity principals preferred Familiarity with hedge fund/private equity structures and Chapter 14 planning is a plus LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred but not required
