Amphenol is seeking a results-driven
Procurement Manager
to lead strategic sourcing and purchasing efforts within our organization. This role is critical in identifying and developing new suppliers, minimizing dependency on sole-sourced items, and reducing costs through vendor diversification. The Procurement Manager will oversee a team of buyers and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance supply chain efficiency, drive continuous improvement, and support company growth objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead, support, and develop the Sourcing and Purchasing team, ensuring consistent procurement practices Train and mentor staff to drive performance and process standardization Identify and establish new global sources of supply in low-cost, low-tariff regions (e.g., Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico, India) Analyze total landed costs, risks, and geopolitical considerations to inform sourcing strategies Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on supplier onboarding, first article approvals, and tooling transitions Model tariff impacts and report on cost-saving opportunities from re-sourcing initiatives Partner with internal teams to implement Make vs. Buy strategies based on cost, capacity, and lead times Manage vendor pricing agreements and ensure accurate records in the procurement system Conduct regular audits for pricing accuracy and contract compliance Negotiate pricing and resolve discrepancies with vendors Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to support savings initiatives Develop and maintain procurement performance dashboards and vendor KPIs Ensure timely delivery of goods by tracking open purchase orders and addressing delivery issues Build strong vendor relationships and proactively resolve supplier concerns Evaluate supplier performance metrics and implement improvement plans where needed Drive continuous improvement in procurement and expediting processes Support procurement system upgrades or implementations Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant compliance standards
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field 5–10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management At least 5 years of experience managing direct reports Strong proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, with specific experience in Macola preferred In-depth understanding of global sourcing strategies and best practices Knowledge of international trade, tariffs, and global manufacturing trends Prior experience sourcing from regions such as Vietnam, India, or Mexico is highly preferred
