Purpose of Role:

The MRO Coordinator ensures the timely procurement, availability, and management of maintenance, repair, and operations materials to support plant reliability and efficiency. This role coordinates with maintenance, purchasing, and operations teams to maintain accurate inventory, streamline ordering, and reduce downtime caused by parts shortages.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate the purchase, receipt, storage, and distribution of MRO parts, tools, and supplies. Maintain accurate inventory levels in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or other tracking tools. Monitor stock levels, usage trends, and lead times to prevent shortages and overstocking. Work with vendors and suppliers to source parts, negotiate pricing, and expedite orders as needed. Support maintenance and engineering teams by ensuring critical spare parts are on hand for planned and unplanned work. Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, quality standards, and safety requirements. Generate reports on inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives. Manage repairable items, including sending components out for repair and tracking return status. Collaborate with Finance/Accounting to ensure proper coding of invoices and cost allocation. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to optimize MRO processes and reduce carrying costs.

Skills & Qualifications Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field (Bachelor’s preferred). 2–5 years of experience in MRO, inventory control, purchasing, or maintenance support. Familiarity with CMMS systems and inventory management software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Vendor negotiation and relationship management experience. Knowledge of maintenance practices, parts, and equipment common in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
