Freight Pricing Analyst
to join our team and help optimize our pricing strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic market.

Position Summary The Freight Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing transportation costs, market trends, and carrier rates to develop competitive and profitable pricing models. This role supports the sales, operations, and finance teams by providing accurate pricing, cost modeling, and recommendations that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Analyze carrier rates, freight costs, and shipping trends to support strategic pricing decisions. Develop and maintain pricing models and tools for domestic and international freight (LTL, FTL, intermodal, etc.). Collaborate with sales teams to prepare competitive pricing proposals and RFP responses. Monitor competitor pricing and industry trends to identify opportunities for margin improvement. Support contract negotiations with carriers and logistics partners. Perform post-bid analysis to assess profitability and accuracy of pricing assumptions. Provide regular reporting and KPI analysis on pricing effectiveness and cost performance. Assist in maintaining freight rate databases and pricing systems.
Qualifications 2+ years of experience in freight pricing, logistics analysis, or transportation management. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.); experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is a plus. Knowledge of freight modes, rate structures, and logistics industry standards. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), such as McLeod software Prior experience working with 3PLs or freight forwarding companies.
