This Partner-level opportunity is within Wipro’s Utilities Consulting Business and reports into the Regional Partners or Senior Partner of Utilities Domain & Consulting. The successful candidate will lead consulting growth in Grid Modernization, including digital transformation of utility operations, advanced grid technologies, regulatory compliance, customer experience, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). You will own go-to-market strategy, solution development, delivery leadership, and thought leadership across a portfolio of strategic clients, with a focus on enabling the next generation of electric and gas grids. Responsibilities
Growth Strategy: Define and execute a consulting growth plan focused on grid modernization and digital transformation for strategic utility accounts; develop AI-powered, compliance-focused, EAM-focused, and sustainability-aligned offerings for modern grid operations; enable expansion in key opportunity areas including DER, advanced analytics, and customer experience. Client and Market Relationships: Build C-Suite level relationships with utility leaders, regulators, and ecosystem partners; partner with account and delivery leads to expand Wipro’s footprint in grid modernization and digital utility engagements; develop client intimacy that translates to repeat business and innovation partnerships. Solution Development: Co-create and refine offerings in AI-driven grid intelligence & operations; DER planning & orchestration; utility regulatory advisory services; next-gen customer transformation solutions; EAM modernization, mobility platforms, and asset analytics; advanced grid analytics and automation platforms. Delivery Oversight: Lead consulting engagements ensuring strategic alignment and business value delivery in grid modernization initiatives; drive successful execution across onshore/offshore teams; guide clients through large-scale change journeys in grid, CX, and asset modernization with emphasis on digital grid transformation and EAM. Thought Leadership: Shape industry perspectives through whitepapers, blogs, webinars, and speaking engagements on grid modernization and digital transformation; develop point-of-view content aligned with energy transition, EAM, and regulatory shifts; build internal IP and frameworks to differentiate Wipro in grid modernization and digital utility pursuits. Qualifications
15+ years of experience working with electric and/or gas utilities, with 5+ years in a leadership or partner-level consulting role Experience working with utility regulators or system vendors Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS Eng, MPP) strongly preferred Strong understanding of utility modernization mandates, grid modernization systems, EAM systems, and policy environments Preferred Skills & Experience
Sales & Delivery: Proven success generating multimillion-dollar consulting engagements in grid modernization, digital transformation, or utility operations; track record of growing new business through strategic planning and execution; experience delivering utility consulting programs (grid, regulatory, CX, EAM, or asset-led). Transformation Leadership: Deep knowledge of grid modernization technologies, digital platforms, IT/OT integration, and utility operating models; ability to deconstruct ambiguous problems and shape implementation pathways for grid modernization. Domain Depth: Expertise in electric and gas utility operations, grid modernization solutions, EAM, and related platforms (e.g., ADMS, OMS, DERMS, SCADA); experience with EAM systems such as IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, Oracle Utilities; familiarity with mobile field enablement and asset investment planning. Collaboration & Brand: Ability to build and mentor teams; operate with a One Wipro mindset; contribute to industry forums and publications; strengthen Wipro’s consulting brand in utilities, regulators, and technology partners. Compensation & Benefits Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $190,000 to $265,000. Based on the position, the role is eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including medical and dental options, disability insurance, paid time off (including sick leave), and other leave options.
