Job Summary The Business Development Partner - Customer Solutions (reporting to VP Solutions Operations) will support business leaders in an assigned geography (market) to create and nurture market plans, identifying key customers, influencers, and projects to drive CRH awareness and opportunities in their assigned market, pushing the organization to look beyond current project scopes to find opportunities to create customer value. This individual will act as the hub for all CRH-focused commercial activities. Job Location This is a remote position and may be based out of any of the following states: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio or Michigan. Job Responsibilities Work with the business leaders in a particular geography and the market team to develop a targeted market-planned approach for CRH-focused opportunities. This includes customers, influencers, and projects. Support the market teams on project managing pipeline maturity, nurturing opportunities to win/lost, and recording activity in Salesforce.com. Provide coaching and mentoring to market teams, emphasizing customer-connected selling methodologies, collaboration, and addressing customer pain points. Support new market team launches within the assigned geography, including helping leadership stand up and assimilate a cross-platform team and adopt a new selling strategy. Engage with local market leaders to identify and qualify CRH-focused opportunities, searching for projects across multiple lines of business with local market knowledge of capabilities. Support the Monthly Business Review through Salesforce trackers and dashboards. Collaborate with other Solutions Region Managers to facilitate best practices and develop game plans. Provide input to optimize commercial playbooks. Drive playbook utilization and value selling tools across assigned market teams. Build a CRH network and work across the organization to identify market drivers and promote awareness of CRH capabilities. Build a market network to connect the market team to developers, specifiers, and engineers to foster awareness and opportunities around the full breadth of CRH capabilities. Travel 25-30% as required. Other duties as directed by management. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field of study is preferred. Minimum ten (10) years of progressive business experience; a mix of operational and commercial experience is strongly preferred. Commercial aptitude is critical. Experience in building materials, construction, or manufacturing sectors is preferred. Ability to solve complex problems by identifying the most impactful actions and prioritizing efforts. Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, able to adapt rapidly. Adept with Salesforce software. Good communicator—clear and concise writing. Personable and able to connect and collaborate with others. Highly strategic and comfortable with ambiguity.
