Warehouse Supervisor – WMS Implementation Lead
About the Opportunity Our client, a family-owned business in Pennsauken, NJ is looking for a warehouse supervisor. This proactive and tech-savvy Warehouse Supervisor will lead the implementation of a new
Warehouse Management System (WMS)
utilizing handheld tablets. This role will be instrumental in modernizing the warehouse operations, improving inventory accuracy, and enhancing team productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse supervision, hands-on experience with WMS platforms, and a passion for driving operational excellence through technology.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the rollout and adoption of the new WMS across warehouse operations Train and support warehouse staff in using handheld tablets and WMS tools Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure smooth system integration Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with safety standards Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices Serve as the point of contact for WMS-related questions and feedback Qualifications: 3+ years of warehouse supervisory experience Proven experience implementing or working with WMS platforms Comfortable using handheld devices and mobile applications in a warehouse setting Strong leadership and team development skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with inventory control, logistics, and warehouse safety protocols Ability to manage change and lead teams through technology transitions Preferred Qualifications: Experience with systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar Forklift certification Lean Six Sigma or process improvement training Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
Core Qualifications: Technical Skills Experience with WMS platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl, etc.) Proficiency with handheld devices (tablets, barcode scanners, mobile apps) Basic IT troubleshooting skills (connectivity, syncing, app errors) Understanding of inventory control systems and logistics workflows Project & Change Management Experience leading system implementations or upgrades Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to train and onboard staff on new technology Change management experience—guiding teams through transitions Leadership & Communication Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting Excellent communication skills—able to translate tech into practical steps Team-building and coaching abilities Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills Operational Knowledge Familiarity with shipping/receiving, picking/packing, and cycle counting Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards Lean or Six Sigma experience (a plus for process optimization) This is an onsite, 5 days a week role Only Local Candidates will be considered You must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship Compensation to $110,000
