Our mission is to work side by side with our customers in order to improve patients’ lives by bringing new biopharmaceuticals to market. ****SUMMARY: **We are seeking a skilled and strategic **Senior Manager of Benefits & Compensation ** to lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of benefits and compensation programs for our U.S.

employees.

This role plays a key part in shaping our total rewards approach, leading U.S.

benefits strategy, ensuring compliance, and providing day-to-day oversight of our health & welfare and retirement programs.In addition to benefits, this role supports compensation activities including salary structure management, job evaluations, market benchmarking, and compliance with pay-related regulations.

You will work cross-functionally with teams across Environmental Health and Safety, Legal, Finance, and People & Culture to ensure our programs are not only compliant and cost-effective but also innovative and aligned with best practices and industry trends.This position also plays a critical role in keeping employees informed and engaged by developing and maintaining communication programs related to our total rewards offerings.

You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate coverage and services with carriers and brokers, and continuously look for ways to optimize our plans to support a competitive and compelling employee experience.The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of business priorities, a hands-on and proactive working style, and the ability to implement and manage programs that support the attraction, retention, health, and performance of our U.S.

workforce. **Compensation Range: ** $108,080 - $148,610, based on experience **Location: ** Bothell, WA **PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: **Benefits * Implement, administer, and communicate U.S.

benefit programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary programs, wellness, FSA, EAP, COBRA, 401(k)/pension, leave of absence, time-off, etc., as well as managing the leave and accommodation request process to ensure compliance and employee support. * Lead Open Enrollment, including training, data accuracy of benefit information, event planning, program renewals, and employee communications. * Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, insurers, and vendors to ensure timely customer service and accurate, cost-effective plan administration. * Partner with internal HRIS and third-party administrators to ensure data feeds and workflows are functional; make recommendations for additional automation and process efficiency as needed. * Partner with Finance, Legal, and external brokers to proactively forecast and manage the total U.S.

benefits budget. * Ensure plan compliance with regulatory filings, notices, ACA mandates, plan audits, non-discrimination testing, and other benefit-related regulatory requirements. * Ensure the reliability, accuracy, and security of benefits data used for reporting and analysis. * Review and reconcile monthly premium billings. * Research and evaluate company benefits to recommend improvements and new programs that strengthen overall plan design, cost-effectiveness, and employee engagement. * Ensure benefit plan documentation, contracts, and amendments are in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. * Identify strategies to improve employee communication and education regarding benefit programs. * Develop and implement a U.S.

wellness strategy that is progressive and innovative to promote employee health, engagement, and well-being.Compensation * Support the development and maintenance of U.S.

salary structures, job levels, and pay bands aligned with internal equity and external market data. * Conduct job evaluations and market benchmarking using survey data and compensation tools to support hiring, promotion, and organizational planning decisions. * Ensure compliance with pay-related laws and regulations, including FLSA classification, pay equity, and emerging pay transparency requirements in applicable states. * Partner with People & Culture and Talent Acquisition to review compensation-related matters, including offer packages, promotions, and pay adjustments. * Assist with the development of total rewards communications and resources to help employees and managers understand compensation structures and programs. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: *** Experience managing both self-funded and fully insured benefit plans. * Solid understanding of compensation principles, salary structures, and regulatory compliance. * Knowledge of federal and state benefit and pay-related regulations and ability to establish and maintain compliance across all plans and programs. * Extensive knowledge of leave of absence programs and experience managing LOA administration. * Keen attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. * High level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality. * Ability to develop, modify, and execute policies and programs aligned with business needs and workforce demographics. * Hands-on approach with the ability to monitor the "pulse" of the workforce and incorporate employee feedback and market trends. * Ability to foster an environment that reflects AGC Biologics’ ethics, values, and commitment to continuous improvement. * Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a high level of organizational skill. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data and trends to inform decision-making. * Ability to present complex total rewards concepts clearly and effectively to senior leadership and employees at all levels. **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: **Required * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field. * Minimum seven (7) years of progressive human resources experience with at least 3 years of direct experience managing U.S.

benefits programs and exposure to compensation. * Experience building and redesigning processes to support developing organizations. * Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to influence and drive continuous improvement in total rewards programs. * Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership. * Experience supporting multi-state employee populations and/or operating in a fast-paced and matrixed environment. * Experience using Workday, particularly the Benefits module.Preferred * HR or Total Rewards professional certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, CBP, CCP) is highly desirable. * Experience managing annual insurance renewals and benefits financials is preferred. ***Our culture at AGC Biologics is defined by the six core values: Knowledge, Trust, Quality, Ingenuity, Accountability and Teamwork.
