ABOUT THE ROLE:
As part of a purposeful team at Archipelago Strategies Group, Inc. (ASG), a full-service marketing agency that specializes in impactful social marketing, the Senior Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and multi-channel presence of our clients. We seek an experienced, highly conceptual designer with at least five years of agency, brand, or marketing experience, capable of crafting compelling creative across platforms—from brand identity systems to advertising campaigns, trade show exhibits, websites, and user experiences. The Senior Graphic Designer will bring exceptional design sensibility, strong conceptual thinking, and fluency in visual storytelling across print, digital, UI/UX, environmental design, and emerging media—thriving in collaborative, strategic environments and energized by projects that drive behavior change and create community impact.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and pitch to clients strong visual concepts and design strategies that support brand storytelling across all platforms: print, digital, video, social, trade show/event environments, and web experiences.
Create cohesive brand identity systems, from logos and style guides to full campaign rollouts.
Contribute to advertising concept development, bringing big ideas to life visually while aligning with campaign strategy.
Design websites, microsites, and landing pages with a strong understanding of UI/UX best practices; collaborate with developers, UX writers where needed, and other vendors.
Ensure a high standard of visual execution across all creative assets, maintaining brand consistency and excellence.
Lead visual development for client pitches, proposals, and new business opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Co-Designers, Writers, Strategists, and Client Account Managers to deliver integrated creative solutions.
Integrate accessibility best practices (e.g., WCAG 2.1, Section 508) across digital and print deliverables to ensure inclusive communication when required.
Incorporate emerging media formats and technologies into design approaches to enhance audience engagement.
Manage time and resources efficiently across multiple high-priority projects, reporting on client accounts using company project management systems.
Attend required staff and cross-collaboration meetings, and respond to TEAMs communication around creative needs.
Perform additional duties as directed by the Creative Director or Creative Services Manager to support organizational success.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
Minimum five years of professional design experience within an agency, brand, or marketing team, including presenting and pitching creative strategies to clients.
Demonstrated ability to deliver successful creative solutions across diverse formats (print, digital, video, environmental design, UI/UX).
Proven expertise in developing integrated design experiences across brand, digital, advertising, and events.
Strong conceptual thinking with a track record of crafting compelling visual narratives aligned with strategic goals.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD), Figma or Sketch, and other relevant tools.
In-depth knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, illustration, and image editing across media.
Understanding of UX/UI best practices for responsive web and mobile design.
Effective communication skills to articulate design concepts to internal stakeholders and external clients.
Highly organized, self-motivated, adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated cultural competence with diverse audiences; bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese preferred, not required.
Reliable internet access and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends during peak periods.

Benefits
Base Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 (commensurate with experience).
