Frontline Real Estate Partners is seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Multifamily Property Manager
to support the continued growth of our residential property management division. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of multifamily assets, including Class B and C properties located in urban and economically challenged neighborhoods throughout the Chicago MSA and surrounding states. Many of these assets are distressed or underperforming and may be managed through court-appointed receiverships or REO assignments. Our team specializes in navigating complex property conditions and delivering reliable, hands-on management solutions to stabilize operations, improve resident satisfaction, and protect asset value. As a Multifamily Property Manager at Frontline, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned properties, working both in the office and on-site. You will be responsible for vendor coordination, resident relations, maintenance oversight, budget creation, rent collection, and compliance enforcement. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple sites and tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Property Operations Coordinate routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and capital projects across assigned residential properties Oversee vendor performance and maintain strong working relationships Solicit, review, and manage competitive bids for services and improvements Conduct regular property inspections, document conditions, and recommend necessary improvements Oversee unit turnover, move-ins, and move-outs, ensuring compliance with policies and proper documentation Resident Relations Provide responsive and respectful communication with residents Address maintenance requests, complaints, and service issues in a timely manner Enforce lease terms and house rules consistently and professionally Actively manage rent collection and minimize delinquency Work with subsidized housing programs (if applicable), including documentation and compliance requirements Financial Management Prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets Complete year-end reconciliations and reporting Monitor financial performance using Yardi Voyager and ensure accuracy of records Approve invoices and control property expenses in line with budget expectations QUALIFICATIONS 3–5+ years of multifamily property management experience, preferably with Class B/C or distressed assets Proven ability to manage operations in challenging or underserved neighborhoods Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle competing priorities Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience with Yardi Voyager, RentCafe is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional and responsive demeanor Ability to work independently in both office and field environments Team-oriented, with a collaborative and proactive mindset Construction or project management background is a plus Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Schedule Monday to Friday Must be available by phone/email after hours for emergency situations License Valid Driver’s License required Work Location Primary Office:
