Purchasing/Procurement Manager – Pharmaceutical Liquids Location: Mt. Position Summary: LHH is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company to hire a Purchasing/Procurement Manager specializing in liquid dosage forms (including syrups, suspensions, and injectable solutions). This high-impact role ensures the reliable, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of pharmaceutical liquids across global supply chains. Key Responsibilities: Develop and lead procurement strategies for pharmaceutical liquids, aligned with corporate goals and regulatory compliance. Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships with a focus on quality (e.g., cGMP compliance), reliability, and cost. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality agreements. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless supply chain planning. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and optimize lead times to prevent shortages and support operational continuity. Track and report supplier performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality issues, and cost variance. Conduct supply risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies (e.g., for raw material shortages). Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier development. Ensure procurement processes meet internal quality systems and external regulatory standards. Lead supplier audits and oversee the implementation of contracts and technical specifications. Manage, mentor, and develop procurement team members; align team goals with broader business objectives. Stay informed of market trends, pricing shifts, and innovations in pharmaceutical supply chain technologies. Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 5–8+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, ideally within pharmaceutical liquids or a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proficiency with ERP procurement systems (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle). Supply chain certifications (e.g., CPSM) are a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills with a proactive, analytical, and compliance-driven mindset.
