Lead Machinist
to join the Anaheim machine shop. This hands-on role combines CNC machining expertise with leadership, guiding a team while maintaining high-quality standards. Candidates will work on a variety of mills and lathes in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive pay based on experience. Monday to Friday, morning shift. Description/Responsibilities: Ensure machine shop meets
quality, productivity, and delivery goals
. Plan, assign, and oversee
daily tasks for machinists and operators
. Create NC programs, set up, and operate
manual and multi-axis CNC machines
; assist team members as needed. Read and interpret engineering drawings
to guide production. Perform
part verification and quality checks
throughout the machining process. Manage work orders and interface with
ERP systems
(Fourth Shift). Lead and participate in
productivity improvement initiatives
and cost-saving projects. Train team members, interpret production documentation, and support skill development. Maintain a
safe and organized work environment
, following all safety protocols. Collaborate with
R&D and Manufacturing Engineering
to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and complete special projects. Qualifications/Requirements: AA degree in Machining Technology, NTMA certificate, or equivalent education/experience. Minimum
8 years of CNC machining experience
, including setup, operation, and programming. Proficient with
FANUC CNC controls
and NC program development (MDI or Mastercam). Experience with
manual and multi-axis CNC machines
, MILLS AND LATHES. Skilled in
fabricating jigs and fixtures
and
grinding cutting tools
. Proficient in
inspection and measurement tools
(CMM, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, gage pins). Knowledge of
SPC data collection and charting
, and ability to monitor production quality. Strong
leadership experience
, including training employees and managing shop schedules. Committed to
maintaining a safe and organized work environment
in compliance with safety policies. Comfortable using
PC-based systems
to track production, quality, and process improvements.
