We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Fashion/Apparel Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for youth fashion, an eye for current trends, and experience designing licensed apparel for boys. You will work closely with licensing partners, product development, and merchandising to bring fresh, engaging designs from concept to production.
Develop innovative and trend-driven design concepts for boys' licensed apparel (ages 4-18). Translate brand licenses and creative briefs into compelling designs that appeal to target age groups. Create detailed technical sketches, colorways, and mood boards to communicate design concepts. partners to ensure designs meet quality, brand, and safety standards. Stay current on youth fashion trends, licensing trends, and competitive landscape to inform design direction. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and product calendar timelines. Assist in selecting fabrics, trims, and embellishments that align with design and licensing specifications. Maintain organized design files and documentation throughout the development process.
3-5 years of experience in fashion/apparel design, preferably with licensed or youth apparel. ~ Strong portfolio showcasing relevant design work for boys' apparel, including licensed collections. ~ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD software. ~ Knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and manufacturing processes. ~ Excellent understanding of target age group's preferences and safety standards. ~ Ability to interpret licensing brand guidelines and incorporate them into designs. ~ Experience working with licensed brands and licensors. Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly materials and practices. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or related field.
