Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Interiors & Renovations

Our client, a respected General Contractor with a strong footprint in the Maryland and DC markets, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Project Manager to support their commercial construction team. With projects typically ranging from $500K to $5M, the work includes interior renovations, tenant fit-outs, adaptive reuse, and small ground-up commercial builds.
Assist in managing preconstruction activities and construction execution Review project plans, specs, and permits to ensure compliance Help prepare submittal logs, RFI tracking, and scheduling support Participate in subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, and coordination Support mobilization efforts and field team logistics 2–5 years of experience with a General Contractor, ideally on
commercial interiors or renovation projects ~ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred ~ Working knowledge of construction software platforms and project documentation ~ If you're looking for a
