Mechanical Project Manager - Experienced &##128205; At Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG), we are always seeking talented individuals to join our growing team. We're actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our leadership team in the Charlottesville/Richmond, VA region. With a strong pipeline of commercial mechanical projects-including healthcare, higher education, mixed-use, and government facilities-you'll have the opportunity to lead high-impact work while collaborating with some of the best in the industry. You won't just manage projects-you'll shape their success from preconstruction through closeout, with the support of an experienced in-house team and trade partners. Lead mechanical construction projects (HVAC & plumbing) from kickoff to closeout
Oversee cost, schedule, manpower, and subcontractor performance
Perform site walkthroughs and lead coordination meetings with stakeholders
Ensure quality control, code compliance, and jobsite safety
5+ years of mechanical project management experience (HVAC and/or plumbing focus)
~ A proven track record of delivering complex commercial projects successfully
~ Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction documents, and building codes
~ Excellent leadership, planning, and decision-making skills
~ Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Central Virginia
~ Proficiency with construction/project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
