Purpose
Coordinates and implements policies relating to all phases of Human Resources activities. Responsible for carrying out various Accounting Procedures. Responsible for Payroll Administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Management Employee Hiring & Onboarding Conduct applicant interviews, schedule pre-employment screenings, and process background checks. Plan and conduct new employee orientation to introduce company policies and practices. Benefits Administration Manage Health and Welfare benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, disability, etc.). Administer workers' compensation claims. Oversee 401(k) plan administration. Distribute legally required summary plan descriptions and other informational literature. Employee Records & Policies Compile and maintain personnel files, record employee data, and complete status changes. Implement and monitor grievance and disciplinary policies to ensure fairness and consistency. Compliance & Training Ensure adherence to company standards and food safety practices. Complete annual training requirements. Payroll Administration Process weekly payroll for salary and hourly employees. Calculate monthly commissions and process payments via Payroll & Accounts Payable. Accounting & Finance: Accounts Payable (AP) Perform all AP duties including general ledger coding, invoice entry, and weekly AP check runs. Post AP & PO Journals and AP Accruals during month-end close. Accounts Receivable (AR) Provide backup support for AR functions. Process daily invoicing, distribute invoices, and post to AR system. Month-End & Compliance Perform assigned month-end procedures. Issue 1099's, 1095C's, Sales Tax Exempt forms, Certificates of Insurance, and W-9's as needed. Inventory Conduct monthly inventory counts of assigned areas. Office & Administrative Support Open and distribute incoming mail. Order and maintain office supplies. Support other departments with related projects and duties as assigned. Other Qualifications: Experience with ADP software strongly encouraged. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
