Job Description Duties and Responsibilities · Set up welding machines and equipment · Weld, cut, and grind aluminum of different widths · Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc or other welding equipment · Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications or drawings · Follows weld and assembly requirements of drawings for assigned product by using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) · Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc · Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs · Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. · Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced Required Skills & Experience · 1+ years of TIG welding experience or equivalent training · TIG Certification AWS D1.2 (or able to achieve within 60 days of employment) · Successful completion of CIT weld test · Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures · Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.) · Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings · Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shield, gloves, PPE, etc.) · Deftness and attention to detail Compensation: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
