Fire Protection & Plumbing Engineer or Designer

We are a growing full-service MEP/FP Engineering firm located in Dublin, Ohio with a start-up office in Tampa, FL. We are currently seeking a Junior - Senior level Fire protection and/or Plumbing Engineer/Designer for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and/or healthcare type facilities. Job responsibilities and qualifications include:
Responsibilities Production of detailed plumbing and fire protection drawings for new and existing facilities utilizing AutoCad or Revit. Equipment evaluation and selection to fit project design & capacity requirements. Development of plumbing & fire protection specifications. Ensure that all drawings are prepared with accuracy & neatness prior to project deadlines. Communicate w/project team members & vendors to obtain necessary info. for drawings Knowledge & implementation of relevant codes. OBC, OPC/IPC, NFPA, IFGC, etc. Attend meetings with clients and various other consultants. Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions. Construction administration including RFI’s, change orders, shop dwgs., field conflicts, etc. Construction Observation as required & development of field punches.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
OR
equivalent experience. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ (or more) experience. Must be proficient in either AutoCAD or Revit. Strong problem solving, technical, math and science skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines and end-goals. Must be located in Columbus, OH or Tampa, Florida
