Grades K - 5 Grades 9 - 12 School Behavior Specialist in Newark, NJ

This full-time position seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide specialized behavioral support across K-12 grades within a dynamic K-12 school setting. The role involves overseeing an Autism program and delivering comprehensive behavior services to students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the Autism program to ensure high-quality service delivery Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine student needs Develop and implement effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Provide behavior support directly to students across grades K through 12 Serve as an itinerant BCBA, supporting 3-4 schools within the district Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive behavioral outcomes Qualifications: Must hold an active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification Experience working with students across various grade levels (K-5, 6-8, 9-12) Strong skills in conducting FBAs and implementing BIPs Ability to manage caseload effectively while providing itinerant services Excellent communication and collaboration skills Location: Position based in Newark, NJ within a K-12 school environment Benefits and Compensation: Competitive compensation ranging from $50 to $60 per hour Eligible candidates may receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals as part of the package This contract role is available for the current school year (CSY) and offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student success through applied behavior analysis.
