Electrical Superintendent - Data Center Construction

Position: Electrical Superintendent – Hyperscale Data Center Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-Site) Company: Top 25 General Contractor A top-tier general contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee the electrical scope on a multi-year hyperscale data center project in Indianapolis. This is a mission-critical role responsible for leading field execution of complex power and low-voltage systems in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage on-site electrical construction from rough-in to commissioning Supervise subcontractors, foremen, and field crews to ensure safety, quality, and productivity Coordinate installation of MV/LV power systems, UPS, generators, grounding, and structured cabling Ensure compliance with NEC, project specs, and hyperscale client standards Collaborate with MEP coordinators, commissioning agents, and project management Monitor progress, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate field documentation Support commissioning efforts, startup, and final turnover Required Skills & Experience: 8–10+ years of electrical construction experience, with at least 3–5 years in data centers or mission-critical environments Proven ability to lead large field crews on high-value, high-complexity projects Strong understanding of critical power systems, grounding, testing, and QA/QC protocols Skilled in coordinating with general trades, engineering teams, and safety personnel Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and project scheduling tools Preferred Qualifications: Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred OSHA 30 certification required Experience with hyperscale clients such as AWS, Meta, Google, or Microsoft Able to work on-site in Indianapolis full-time for the duration of the project
