CNC MACHINIST
Under minimal supervision, the Machinist is responsible for manufacturing medium to high complexity parts to required specifications using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine centers.
As a Machinist, you will be integral to the manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality production through precise machining techniques. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge to operate CNC lathes and precision measuring instruments effectively. Your premium skills in CNC programming and GD&T will enhance your ability to meet stringent quality control standards. Additionally, your relevant experience in fabrication and tooling will support our commitment to excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Record setup and/or run direct labor time on assigned work.
· Retrieve, download and upload machine program and setup information.
· Review drawing or specification to verify method or sequence of operations.
· Setup machine tool.
· Layout parts to display locations of bank points or machined cuts.
· Mount, align, adjust, load and secure materials, tools and attachments to machine.
· Operate and run one or more machines concurrently.
· Monitor the feed and speed of machine.
· Detect malfunction in machine operation.
· Deburr parts using approved deburring techniques.
· Clean parts.
· Inspect parts using calibrated precision measuring instruments and gauges.
· Adjust machine control parameters to correct malfunction or out of tolerance condition.
· Report nonconforming material or questionable conditions.
· Assure paperwork integrity of production documentation.
· Move parts to next operation.
· Maintain an organized and clean work area.
· Clean and preserve machines and tooling.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or graduation from certified technical school, and 5+ years of machining experience.
This position requires the ability to understand and communicate job-related information in English, both verbally and in writing, to ensure safety and effective performance of essential duties.
Proficient in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge
Experience with precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers
Strong background in manufacturing and machining processes
Familiarity with CNC lathe operations and CNC programming
Knowledge of GD&T and CAM programming is a plus
Basic math skills and experience in quality control practices
Ability to work in a factory or manufacturing facility environment
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Routinely perform duties in a production environment.
Exposure to production level noise.
Required to stand for long periods of time.
Near visual acuity to read and hearing ability to monitor equipment sounds.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
