Our client is an employee-owned company, and they are a leading contractor of panel engineering, fabrication, installation, EIFS/plaster, metal-studs, drywall, specialty ceilings and finish carpentry. They have a reputation of excellence, providing specialty services to some of the most iconic commercial projects. They are in need of a Senior Estimator who will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial construction drawings & specifications, material, labor, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.
This is an on site position, with this role working out of any of our client's offices across the central United States. Our client is open to help with relocation.
Responsibilities
: Utilize extensive knowledge and experience to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial metal stud, drywall, & ceiling scopes of work. Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids based on project specifications, drawings, etc. Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with general contractors and vendors. Identify and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects. Maintain detailed records.
Requirements: 5+ years experience working for a specialty or subcontractor doing drywall estimating Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) Knowledge of metal stud framing and drywall Proficiency in estimating software (The Edge, Onscreen Takeoff/QuickBid, Bluebeam, Planswift, etc.) Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
