Position Summary SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced
Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager
to join our team on a
mission-critical data center project in Sterling, VA
.
The ideal candidate will hold
BCSP credentials
(CSP, CHST, ASP, STSC, or equivalent), have OSHA training certifications (OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500), and demonstrate strong leadership in supporting an injury-free workplace. This role requires hands-on field presence, clear communication, and effective collaboration with project leadership, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities Manage and enforce site-wide compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards. Conduct and document daily site inspections, hazard assessments, and corrective actions. Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and oversee corrective measures. Deliver site-specific safety orientations and ongoing training for new and existing personnel. Promote a proactive safety culture in partnership with project leadership. Review contractor safety plans and ensure alignment with project requirements. Track and analyze leading/lagging indicators to identify trends and prevent incidents. Ensure worker training and qualification requirements are met and maintained. Facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks with field teams and subcontractors. Serve as the liaison between SAVI EHS, client EHS representatives, and site operations. Support positive reinforcement programs to recognize and encourage safe work practices.
Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of construction safety experience
(data center experience strongly preferred). BCSP certification required
(CSP, CHST, ASP, STSC, or equivalent). OSHA 500 required; OSHA 510 and OSHA 30 also required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field (preferred). Strong knowledge of hazard recognition, compliance programs, and safety regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital safety reporting platforms. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
