We are seeking an experienced

Mechanical Engineer for Building Design

to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical and plumbing system design for large-scale projects, including Senior Living, Independent Living Facilities (ILF), Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Surgery Centers, and Multifamily High-rises, encompassing both new construction and renovations. The Mechanical Engineer will manage assigned projects, ensuring the quality of engineering deliverables meets client expectations within budget and schedule. This role involves leading or collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop mechanical systems aligned with industry standards and project requirements.

Manage and deliver mechanical and plumbing design solutions for various building types, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with schedules. Lead project teams ensuring adherence to design standards, best practices, and client specifications. Participate actively in project meetings during design and construction phases, representing the company and addressing engineering issues. Conduct site visits to assess existing mechanical and plumbing systems and support construction oversight. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated and coordinated design solutions. Prioritize and schedule project tasks to meet deadlines and maintain efficient workflow. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including experience with the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) for healthcare projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in an Architectural/Engineering (AE) environment focusing on mechanical/plumbing design. Proven ability to design mechanical and plumbing systems within client budgets and timelines. Strong team collaboration and communication skills across all project levels. Experience with commercial, healthcare, senior living, multifamily, and high-rise projects, including both new construction and renovations. Familiarity with healthcare regulatory bodies such as AHCA is a plus. Ability to lead site assessments and address design or field issues effectively.

Software Proficiency: Autodesk AutoCAD (2019 or later) Autodesk Revit (2018 or later) Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
