Job Captain – Multifamily & Affordable Housing Focus

We have a number of new market-rate and
affordable housing projects
on the boards. From sustainable, zero-energy ready mountain workforce housing to market-rate urban infill development to student housing, we combine creativity with a deep respect for a project’s context, schedule and long-term success. While prior affordable housing experience is not required, this is an opportunity to apply your multifamily architecture and project management skills to new work that blends innovative design with social impact.
We are seeking exceptional
Job Captains
to join our collaborative team. You’ll work on a variety of multifamily and mixed-use projects, including developments that improve access to quality housing across the U.This role is ideal for someone who thrives on complex design challenges, values a culture of idea-sharing, and believes in the power of architecture to strengthen communities.
Lead the production of schematic design, design development and construction document sets for medium to large multifamily residential and mixed-use projects (100+ units). Coordinate with specification writers, structural, MEP, civil, and other specialty consultants throughout all project phases. Lead and mentor Revit drafting staff during schematic design, design development, and construction documentation. Develop building envelope and system details for wood frame, concrete, and steel construction. Integrate building, energy, and accessibility code requirements into designs. Manage internal and remote teams, tracking schedules, resolving production issues, and reporting to principals. Oversee entitlement and building permit processes; respond to city and housing authority comments efficiently. Participate in construction administration as needed, including OAC meetings, RFIs, submittal reviews, and field observations.
6–10 years of architectural experience on primarily multifamily residential projects. ~ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required. ~ An architecture license is encouraged. ~ Strong project coordination, management and communication skills. ~ Revit and Bluebeam proficiency required. ~ SketchUp proficiency preferred. ~ Familiarity with MS Project, Word, Excel, Slack, and Smartsheet preferred. ~ Local to the Denver office required (Hybrid opportunity) Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm MT
