Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Construction Administrator to join our expanding team. This role serves as the primary liaison between the firm, owners, and contractors during the construction phase. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects, managing everything from pre-construction through substantial completion and closeout. You will ensure projects adhere to design specifications, schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements while maintaining strong communication and problem-solving on-site.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact among the Firm, Owner, and Contractor during construction.
  • Manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings related to electrical construction.
  • Attend and coordinate construction meetings, document field conditions, and prepare engineers’ field reports.
  • Review and interpret contract documents, plans, specifications, and relevant building and electrical codes.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to evaluate and process change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Monitor contractor progress, review applications for payment, and ensure compliance with project timelines and safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, punch lists, and construction logs.
  • Coordinate schedules internally and with project stakeholders to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Facilitate streamlined administrative processes for RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Assist in evaluating contract documents for constructability and regulatory compliance.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience in multifamily, healthcare, assisted living, independent living, or senior living projects preferred.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and review complex contract documents, plans, and shop drawings.
  • Familiarity with building codes including plumbing, fire, energy conservation, and fuel gas codes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Willingness to travel as needed to job sites by vehicle or plane.
  • Certified and Licensed Special Inspector with Threshold Inspections in Florida is a plus.
