Job Description

Duties

• Greet facility guests per corporate protocol and assign proper security badges to visitors, preventing unauthorized access.
• Monitor the interior and exterior of the facility; check doors as required and report any suspicious activity to local police.
• Collaborate with security team to limit potential risks; investigate and document all infractions or incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance in uniform and equipment; act as a deterrent to criminal activity through visibility.
• Perform scheduled and random checks of designated areas to detect security breaches; assist maintenance staff during maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain professional and effective relationships with local police and fire departments; secure premises by patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and access points, and controlling entry.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy, and restraining trespassers as needed.
• Direct traffic as required; complete reports by recording observations, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures.
• Maintain compliance with legal requirements to support organizational stability and reputation.
• Respond to reported incidents as necessary and maintain proficiency with all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
• Preserve order and enforce regulations and site directives related to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Participate in industry-specific security/safety training programs to ensure high-quality service at client sites.

Skills

• Minimum two (2) years of applicable experience.
• High school diploma / GED required.
• CLEET certified and an active duty law enforcement officer with the City of Moore or Cleveland County.
• Additional certifications such as baton permit, pepper spray permit, and CPR certification are desirable.

Physical abilities

• Stamina to walk and stand for extended periods; ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds; climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as needed.
• Ability to work under pressure with the general public and manage crisis situations calmly and effectively.

Other requirements

• Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction.
• Must pass Law Enforcement Sensitive Background Investigation and obtain bonding.
