CLASSROOM TEACHER
I. Primary Function: Instruct students in subject matter utilizing various teaching methods, such as lecture and demonstration, uses audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentation.
Major Classroom Responsibilities:
Professional Development:
Special Assignment:
Perform related duties such as sponsoring one or more special activities or student organizations.
Organizational Relationships: Is accountable to the principal for performance of assigned duties. Relates role to the building and system wide programs and objectives. Coordinates work with members of their particular department. Performance Standards: In-class behavior: There is evidence that the pupils assigned to certain courses for which the instructor is responsible have achieved established objectives. Out of class behavior: There is evidence that the instructor has developed behavior that results in effective cooperation with his colleagues and lay persons.
Position-Holder Qualification: Graduate of a four (4) year college Function effectively as a member of an instructional team. Maintain strong commitment to the subject matter that he/she teaches. Works effectively with the community. Has ability to adapt to differences and changes in pupil characteristics.
