This role offers an opportunity to provide essential social work services within a K-12 school environment, supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students. The position is based in Grand Blanc, MI, and operates on a contract basis for the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual students.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success.
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
Facilitate group counseling sessions and workshops.
Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with school policies.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
Valid state social work licensure or certification.
Experience working in a K-12 school setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and available community resources.
Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
