A K-12 school in Roanoke, VA is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position lasting the entire school year. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans
Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and formulate support strategies
Deliver professional development and training to staff on psychological best practices and intervention techniques
Maintain detailed and confidential records of assessments and services provided
Desired Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
Experience working with K-12 populations in educational environments
Strong knowledge of assessment tools, educational laws (IDEA, Section 504), and intervention strategies
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Ability to manage caseload efficiently and prioritize to meet deadlines
