This is a remote role that requires a candidate to travel to field client sites.

Summary Objective

  • The Construction Manager directs the overall management of construction projects, overseeing the projects from development to completion. This is a hybrid role, candidate will be remote when they're not traveling to field client sites.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering or management related discipline; and
  • A minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in project and / or construction management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in construction, engineering or management related discipline; and
  • 5 years’ experience in the power, oil & gas, data center and / or district energy industries; and
  • Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.

Required Functions:

  • Manages the planning, materials, building, and budget of a construction projects.
  • Selects appropriate construction methods and strategies; and schedules and coordinates construction processes so that projects meet design specifications.
  • Ensures all of aspects of construction projects (safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality) are met.
  • Collaborates with engineers, designers, project managers and production management on construction related issues.
  • Ensures required licenses and permits are obtained, confers with city or county inspectors, and ensures compliance of legal requirements, company regulations, and building and safety codes and guidelines.
  • Works with Procurement to choose appropriate materials and plan the best way to get materials to the building sites.
  • Respond to work delays, other problems, and emergencies.
  • Reports on construction progress to the Project Manager and to clients.
  • Participate in ISO 9001 and other audits.
