POSITION SUMMARY Okland is seeking motivated, curious, and team-oriented students to join our internship program. ABOUT US Founded in 1918, Okland Construction operates as a regional general contracting and construction management company with nearly 1,000 employees and growing. We supervise the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, and inspection process from start to finish and specialize in concrete self-perform on a large commercial scale in major sectors such as Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, Sporting, Municipal/Civic, and Hospitality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Project Support:- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
- Participate in jobsite walks, safety meetings, and subcontractor interactions
- Support preconstruction efforts including estimating and bid preparation
- Contribute to documentation, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
- Learn and apply construction technologies (e.g., Autodesk, Bluebeam, BIM 360)
- Engage with project teams and department leads
- Attend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
- Receive mentorship and feedback from experienced professionals
- Participate in intern events, training sessions, and leadership exposure
- Complete a capstone project or presentation summarizing your experience
- Receive performance evaluations and guidance for future career steps
- Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related program
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry
