We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Construction Project Manager for a permanent position in our rapidly growing organization. This position is ideal for an individual with a solid background in underground utility and dirt work, along with a proven track record in project management and budgeting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of civil construction projects from initial planning to completion.
2. Manage and coordinate with team members and contractors, ensuring all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
3. Conduct site inspections to ensure conformance to design specifications and building codes.
4. Responsible for the management of underground utility and dirt work projects.
5. Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial plans.
6. Coordinate and obtain the necessary permits and licenses for projects.
7. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project execution.
8. Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
9. Foster a culture of safety and ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
10. Resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction project management, with a focus on underground utility and dirt work.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
4. Proven experience in project management and budgeting.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
8. Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Must be willing to travel to construction sites as needed.
