Junior Staff Accountant Job at FlexShopper in Boca Raton

Opportunity is located in the Boca Raton Headquarters onsite.

FinTech, eCommerce company, that provides brand name durable goods to consumers on a lease-to-own (LTO) basis through its ecommerce marketplace and LTO payment method. It also provides LTO technology platforms to retailers and e-tailers to enter transactions with consumers who want to obtain durable goods, but do not have the available cash or credit.

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our team in Boca Raton. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll contribute to financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, directly supporting our mission and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, inventory tracking, and payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Contribute to treasury reporting and cash flow management.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and reports.
• Provide audit support by gathering and organizing financial documentation.
• Research and resolve discrepancies or data gaps to maintain accounting accuracy.
• Utilize SQL and Excel for financial data extraction, analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting experience in Accounting
• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS required).
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Education: Associate Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
• SQL experience a plus
