Design Resource Team (DRT) is a growing architecture firm in Boston specializing in multifamily residential projects, with a core focus on mixed-use buildings of 20-60 units. We also handle restaurant designs and are expanding into commercial office and retail spaces. With our current team of 6 dedicated professionals, we're on track to grow to 20 employees in the next 5-10 years. We're seeking a talented Architectural Designer eager to contribute to innovative projects and advance to project leadership within 3-5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and/or 3D scan existing conditions on-site.
- Convert measurements into accurate Revit models.
- Develop 2-3 design options based on local zoning requirements, client needs, and preferences, collaborating with senior designers initially.
- Support schematic design, construction documentation, and coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Contribute to a variety of residential, mixed-use, restaurant, and emerging commercial/retail projects.
- Grow toward independent project management within 3 years through hands-on experience and mentorship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of professional experience outside of school in an architectural firm.
- Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Suite; experience with other rendering software a plus.
- Strong understanding of zoning, building codes, and client collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to professional growth, including pursuit of licensure (e.g., NCARB/ARE).
