Schedule Tuesday - Thursday: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Job Description The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director and/or Section Head, the Clinical Specialist, the Manager, and the Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The CT Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images while providing patients with a safe and positive experience. Additionally, Technologists support teaching and continuous learning as technology evolves for both themselves and others. Responsibilities include performing CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those receiving intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures while practicing and enforcing radiation safety measures defined by New York State Department of Health.
Responsibilities
Perform CT scans for trauma and emergency room patients as well as outpatients.
Assist in the clinical evaluation and care of patients.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety measures.
Support educational activities for staff and patients.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must be a graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School.
New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice in New York.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
Entry-level position; limited or no experience required.
