About the team and position The Coordinator, Background will play an important role on the HR Operations Team at Carvana by performing a number of activities related to the company's compliance and background check functions.

This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, at our corporate HQ in Tempe, Arizona.

What you'll be doing Understand, articulate, and support all of our requirements, policies, regulations, and standards related to background checks across the organization. Communicate with candidates as needed regarding negative background results received. Coordinate and expedite background screen solutions with 3rd party provider(s), to adjudicate all pending candidates with a sense of urgency . Collaborate on high growth recruiting efforts by supporting Recruiting and Field People Operations Teams to meet hiring date targets. Troubleshoot candidate access problems, screening issues, questions, and settings with our vendors. Communicate with candidates throughout the completion of the background check steps to ensure smooth and efficient processing. Provide above-and-beyond customer service to our internal customers and incoming candidates during the background check process. Support hiring and onboarding processes (e.g.administration of pre-employment background check, Driver Qualification File and drug testing processes; etc.). Help to train and support new team members on processes and procedures. Meet and/or exceed key metrics, including adjudication response time and compliance. Support in other HR projects as assigned and needed. What you should have/know

1+ years' work experience in a Human Resources, Administrative Assistant or Customer Service capacity. Ability to support & communicate policy and procedure. Effective verbal & written communication skills. Highest level of customer service and sense of urgency. Superior attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to be self-directed and proactive in work activities. Consistently able to use ultimate discretion regarding confidential and sensitive personal data. It would be great if you also have

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance as it pertains to onboarding of Drivers. Experience and basic understanding of federal and state compliance laws as they apply to employment. Computer literacy, specific to Google Suite applications. Don't Meet 100% of the Qualifications?
