Sigma Inc. is seeking a
detail-oriented Administrative Assistant (Job ID: 155523)
to support the
OB/GYN Department
at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Needham, MA. This role is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills, a background in healthcare administration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Key Responsibilities Front Office & Scheduling:
Answer telephones, schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate conference calls. Meeting Support:
Plan, schedule, and organize meetings and events; prepare agendas and meeting materials; take and distribute meeting minutes. Administrative Support:
Assist in planning departmental programs, seminars, and events; order supplies and services as needed. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain departmental files and databases; compile periodic and ad hoc reports from multiple data sources. Document Preparation:
Create and edit complex documents, charts, graphs, and presentations. Correspondence:
Draft, proofread, and edit communications, manuscripts, and reports (including technical or medical terminology). Team Support:
Provide general administrative assistance and complete other tasks as assigned by department leadership. Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. Experience:
3-5 years of administrative support experience (healthcare setting strongly preferred). Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Attention to detail with strong editing and formatting skills
Note:
Candidates must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) for at least
6 months
to be eligible for consideration.
Preferred Qualities
Previous administrative support experience in a
medical office or healthcare environment Familiarity with
medical terminology
and healthcare documentation Excellent interpersonal skills for patient, staff, and physician interactions Location & Schedule
