Job Summary Under general supervision, provides responsible administrative and secretarial support for a department or office, often of a complex and confidential nature, generally in support of a department chair or equivalent level administrator. Responsibilities The duties include, but are not limited to: ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: Provide administrative support for the Allied Health Professions Department. Answer phones, greet visitors/students, and schedule meetings. Assist Office Coordinator with special events such as hooding and honors, program-sponsored and CE Events. PURCHASING: Process approved purchase requests for all AHP programs to include check requests, purchase requisitions, P-Card, IDR, etc., adhering to purchasing policy and procedures. Prepare and route student scholarship awards. Receive orders and coordinate deliveries. Generate monthly reports. PERSONNEL: Assist the Office Coordinator in preparing personnel transactions for faculty, staff, and students to include FPDF, PCF, Travel Authorization, Travel Expense Statements, OA-1, etc. INVENTORY: Assist the Office Coordinator in maintaining and completing the annual computer and inventory audit. OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions. OR High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and six years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions. Preferred Qualifications Exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a professional work environment. Ability to manage multiple projects while supervising student employees, answering phones, and business processes. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
