Search Solution Group is seeking a
Creative Director
on behalf of our client, a leading provider of LED lighting solutions for both residential and commercial customers. The Creative Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's visual identity, ensuring creative excellence, and translating business and marketing goals into impactful creative output. This role requires a blend of hands-on design expertise, team leadership, and strategic oversight to elevate brand presence across digital, print, packaging, and retail channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Systems & Creative Direction Develop and maintain distinct brand guidelines for residential and commercial product lines.
Ensure consistent brand presentation across all channels, including packaging, Amazon listings, social media, email, website, and print.
Distribute and enforce brand guidelines across freelancers, internal teams, and production artists.
Serve as the final quality gatekeeper for all creative output, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with messaging.
Manage creative workflow using tools such as Asana, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
Creative Operations & Vendor Oversight Act as the primary contact with overseas factories to request and manage creative product assets (images, renders, STP/OBJ files).
Review, organize, and standardize incoming design files for use across digital and print formats.
Manage and delegate tasks to freelance designers, 3D render artists, photographers, and video editors.
Hire and manage production artists and external creative vendors as needed to expand creative capabilities.
Marketing Collaboration & Promotional Content Collaborate with marketing to conceptualize and execute visuals for social media campaigns, email marketing, website promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
Translate product features and marketing objectives into high-performing customer-facing visuals.
Oversee the creation of packaging designs for retail shelves, ensuring attention-grabbing and functional presentation.
Lead the development of Amazon A+ content, product listing images, and other eCommerce visual assets.
Requirements include:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 4+ years of creative leadership experience in eCommerce, CPG, lighting, or consumer electronics.
4+ years developing and implementing brand systems, visual guidelines, and creative templates.
4+ years of hands-on graphic design experience with proven success on platforms like Amazon (A+ content, product listings), Shopify, or similar.
4+ years of experience creating packaging designs for retail shelves.
3+ years managing creative teams, freelancers, and external vendors.
3+ years producing social media graphics, both paid and organic.
3+ years producing digital graphics and layouts for email marketing.
Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and related design tools.
Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
Experience with project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms.
Excellent visual storytelling and branding expertise.
Certifications: None required; certifications in design or digital marketing tools are a plus.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of eCommerce creative needs, including Amazon, Shopify, and digital marketing.
Knowledge of packaging standards and retail design requirements.
Familiarity with production workflows for digital, print, and video content.
Key Competencies: Strong creative vision with the ability to translate business goals into compelling visuals.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
