Position Description:

Provides assistance in all areas of the Registrar's Office. Provides general information to staff and students regarding College policy, procedures and programs.

Position Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Perform administrative tasks as directed by the Registrar. Provide information/assistance in a prompt, courteous and professional manner to the general public, faculty, and staff in all areas of the Registrar's Office. Perform front desk reception duties, including answering phones and assisting visitors to the office. Assist with course registrations, adds/drops/withdrawals, and non-credit registrations. Assist with responding to Registrar's Office emails. Process student record updates; address changes, program changes, advisor changes, and other student record updates. Assist with both electronic and hardcopy filing systems. Prepare paper and electronic student communications for the Registrar's Office. Assist with graduation and commencement ceremony preparations and functions. Assist with transcript processing. Presence on the job is an employee's fundamental obligation. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Position Requirements

Position Qualifications:

Associate degree required. Minimum of one year of relevant work experience required. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with others in a kind and courteous manner. Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment with many interruptions, follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and complete work in an accurate and timely fashion. Requires the understanding and effective use of information technology with the ability to learn the database and administrative software programs in use at the College. High proficiency in verbal and written communication skills, spelling, grammar and proofreading required. Demonstrated proficiency with preparing and proofreading documents and correspondence to individuals and groups using mail merges and other related tools. Advanced proficiency with office filing systems and procedures with the ability to alphabetize, sort and label records accurately is required. Advanced proficiency with email platforms and Microsoft Office software, specifically Word and Excel required. Proficiency with scanners, copiers and document imaging software. Ability to maintain all information and records in a confidential and secure manner is required.
