Laboratory Technician - Cell and Molecular Biology

Perform routine and complex lab experiments according to established protocols and aseptic technique, including tissue culture, cell separation, protein assays, Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.

Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot a wide range of laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they are prepared, functioning, and available for experiments.

Maintain accurate laboratory records by collecting, entering, and updating experimental data in notebooks, spreadsheets, and databases; Analyze, summarize, and interpret study data for completeness and validity, prepare reports and graphics, and present findings to the research team.

prepare buffers/fixatives/solvents, replace expired materials, and initiate purchase orders to keep the lab stocked.

prepare materials and equipment for experiments and ensure specimen readiness.

Adhere to quality control procedures and sample governance policies to ensure testing accuracy, compliant storage, authorized retrieval, and proper chain of custody.

Train staff in lab techniques, equipment use, safety practices, and protocol compliance, and help keep required safety courses and certifications current.

~ Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences or other related field

~5 to 10 years of experience in Life Sciences

~ Field of Study - Biology - Genetics - Physiology

~ Software - PowerPoint - MS Project - NIH POTS - Outlook - Excel - Word

~ Skills - Experience working with lab equipment - Performing biological research - Knowledge in managing hazardous waste
