The role places you on the Core Accounts Services Business Development team, focusing on Retail, Travel, or Restaurant clients. You should bring consultative sales experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex sales processes and lasting client relationships. As Senior Managing Consultant, you will drive the growth of Mastercard’s Services portfolio by managing strategic client relationships, initiating contact with potential new customers to generate and qualify leads, and promoting Mastercard’s Services products and solutions to drive sales across our services solution set: Consumer Acquisition & Engagement, Business & Market Intelligence, Open Finance and Security Solutions.
Responsibilities
Cultivate strong working relationships with clients, ensuring collaboration and engagement while driving revenue growth and expanded buying centers.
Demonstrate networking skills and confidence initiating contact with new prospects to generate and qualify leads.
Adopt a customer-first attitude, uncover customer needs beyond explicit requests, and craft innovative customer strategies.
Own the sales process from prospecting to executing complex contracts, ensuring efficient sales cycles and urgency with clients.
Achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and projections with outstanding personal performance.
Lead formal and informal pitches, from storyboarding to in-person presentations, delivering concise materials tailored to the audience.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine engagement scope aligned with objectives and client requirements.
Support project/customer success teams in problem-solving and structuring project workplans.
Create and deliver compelling, concise presentations communicating key insights and recommendations.
Coach and provide feedback to team members to foster professional growth.
Proactively seek new knowledge and contribute to the organization’s intellectual capital.
Qualifications
Demonstrated excellence and career development in a B2B sales role.
Experience selling across Retail, Restaurant or Travel sectors, including enterprise and mid-market clients.
Expertise in selling services and insights across industries, bringing key contacts, driving new relationships, and managing end-to-end sales.
Proven self-starter with success in a team-oriented environment.
B2B sales experience in data/analytics/insights, loyalty or professional services preferred.
Experience selling to c-level clients; exceptional relationship management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication and persuasion skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex challenges.
Experience managing projects and teams; leadership abilities.
Technical fluency and ability to discuss technology solutions and industry trends.
Ability to understand complex technical products and develop customer understanding.
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across markets and divisions.
High energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment.
Excellent multitasking skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Systems Engineering or related field; MBA or relevant degree preferred.
Compensation and Benefits National Salary Range (Applies Regardless of Location): $164,000-$262,000
