About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic, customer-obsessed Director of Product Marketing to lead our PMM function and shape how the world understands and adopts Mixpanel. You’ll own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for our core platform and new innovations. You’ll partner with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Demand Gen to drive growth, launch capabilities, and elevate our voice in the market.
You’ll have a direct hand in shaping how customers experience our product and how the market sees our brand. You’ll work with a talented team that values clarity, bold thinking, and speed—and help drive the next wave of growth for a product essential to teams worldwide.
Responsibilities
Lead the Product Marketing function, building a high-performing team of PMMs and Content Marketers.
Develop and maintain deep understanding of Mixpanel products, services, target audiences, and buyer personas.
Orchestrate market research and analysis to inform target segments, industries, and personas.
Own core messaging and positioning—ensure it is clear, differentiated, and aligned across touchpoints.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new features, launches, and product lines.
Partner with Product to shape roadmap strategy based on market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.
Equip Sales and CS with enablement assets, pitch decks, competitive battlecards, product demos, and value-based narratives.
Collaborate with Demand Gen on integrated campaigns that bring the product story to life across the funnel.
Be the voice of the customer—conduct research, build personas, and identify key buyer/user insights.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and category shifts to stay ahead.
We\'re Looking For Someone Who Has
10+ years of product marketing in B2B SaaS, with 5+ years in a people management role.
Proven track record leading launches and GTM motions that drove adoption and revenue growth.
Deep empathy for users and a sharp understanding of the B2B buyer journey.
Exceptional communication skills with clear, compelling messaging and strong written ability.
Passion for storytelling—connecting product capabilities to customer value through narratives.
Collaborative mindset with cross-functional experience across Product, Sales, CS, and Marketing.
Bonus Points For
Strong grasp of the modern data stack.
Background in strategy consulting and product marketing within a high-growth SaaS environment.
Experience across PLG and sales-led growth, with digital analytics as a plus.
Expertise in marketing technical products to product managers, developers, analysts, and/or data engineers.
Experience as a Product Manager or journalist—backgrounds that often make for exceptional PMMs.
Experience using SQL.
Compensation
The total target cash compensation (TTCC) includes base and variable compensation. In addition to cash compensation, this role is eligible for equity and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental coverage. Our salary ranges are benchmarked to industry data and may be updated periodically. Individual pay is determined by experience and skills. For specifics, please discuss with your recruiter.
