Connected Warfare Division
integrates advanced computing, AI-driven decision-making, and warfighter-centric technology into a single ecosystem. It is built around three interconnected business lines, including
Warfighter Systems , which brings wearable tech, immersive mission command tools, and seamless software/hardware integration to enhance situational awareness, survivability, and combat effectiveness. The division focuses on rapid innovation, seamless integration with existing military systems, and human integration with unmanned robotics to deliver transformative capabilities to warfighters globally. Anduril leads the Soldier Borne Mission Command program (formerly IVAS Next) and is expanding XR technologies to a broader set of defense and national security applications. ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Head of Production - Warfighter Systems to coordinate production operations across multiple objectives and locations for Anduril’s Warfighter Systems group. Products include advanced AR, VR, and XR body-worn mission command and human-centric solutions for navigation, vision enhancement, communications, tactical, and training. The Head of Production owns short- to mid-term strategic development and execution, operational direction, career pathing, and vision for a product or suite of Anduril products, ensuring consistent, flawless execution across Product and Programs. Please note: travel may be 25% - 50% when based outside Costa Mesa, CA. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Own production outcomes such as ramp plans, new product introductions (NPI), headcount, and related metrics. Coordinate people and resources to achieve production outcomes. Serve as both strategic leader and hands-on contributor for growing production operations across products or suites. Hold cross-functional teams accountable for meeting demands, deadlines, and budgets. Drive Production, Supply Chain, and Quality to execute Anduril’s 5-year strategic vision for full-rate production. Deliver production outcomes as products mature from development to full-rate production. Build partnerships with Engineering, Deployment Operations, and Program Management to enable success. Advance products from low-rate prototypes to full-rate production by shaping processes and systems in the development lifecycle. Establish and manage KPIs for manufacturing finance, quality, and on-time delivery. Advise on digital technologies (PLM, ERP, MES, QMS) to scale operations while meeting customer requirements. Be accountable to AS9100D guidelines and partner with Anduril’s SVP of Manufacturing on manufacturing strategy. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10 years in a Production leadership role within hardware development, with a track record of scaling products from prototype to full-rate production (thousands of units). Strong ability to work cross-functionally in unstructured environments; startup experience preferred. Experience with discrete production operations in technical industries (aerospace, consumer electronics, medical, automotive) or process manufacturing. Owned a new product ramp to full-rate production. 10+ years managing a P&L in a Production environment. Experience managing a workforce of at least 120 across quality, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, and technicians. Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on data-driven problem solving and scalable processes. Strong outcomes orientation with ability to drive initiatives from inception to adoption and to contribute tactically when needed. Ability to collaborate with engineering on a highly technical level. Proven leadership to attract, retain, and develop high-quality talent and to build high-performing teams. Sophisticated interpersonal skills to influence and advise across diverse environments. Strategic thinking with the ability to foresee and address future challenges. Strong problem-solving and analytic skills to align solutions with the wider organization. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, not required. Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with production and manufacturing of wearable electronic devices. BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION
US Salary Range: $216,000 - $324,000 USD. The salary is an estimate and may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.
