We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in analyzing and documenting business needs, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving improvements in workflows and systems. Responsibilities:
• Conduct interviews and facilitate discussions with business and technology stakeholders to identify and understand system and business requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
• Utilize various business analysis techniques, such as process modeling, context diagrams, use cases, and user stories, to create comprehensive requirement artifacts.
• Analyze business challenges and propose innovative solutions to improve workflows, processes, and systems.
• Support the development of business cases and cost-benefit analyses by gathering and interpreting relevant data.
• Lead efforts to redesign business processes, prioritizing automation and streamlining manual tasks where possible.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to define testing requirements, create traceability matrices, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with business users and IT teams to foster collaboration and drive project success.
• Communicate effectively by tailoring messages to suit the audience, ensuring clarity and conciseness in all presentations and documentation.
• Provide guidance and support during periods of change, helping teams adapt and overcome challenges effectively.• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis, with strong familiarity in creating business process models, context diagrams, use cases, and user stories.
• Proficiency in project management and software development life cycle methodologies, including Agile frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Excel, Access, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of annuity concepts and related business practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose creative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both business users and IT teams to achieve project objectives.
