We are seeking a motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic surgical team.
FSA is a multi-specialty medical clinic with 32 physicians and advanced practice providers. We proudly serve our community by offering comprehensive care in Urology, General Surgery/Trauma, Ear, Nose & Throat (including allergy & audiology), and Gastroenterology.
Position Summary
The Physician Assistant (PA) play a vital role in patient care and surgical support.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Pre-Operative Care Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., laboratory studies, imaging). Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, associated risks, and recovery expectations. Intra-Operative Assistance Assist surgeons during operations, including retracting tissues, suturing, and controlling hemostasis. Maintain sterile technique and ensure appropriate surgical instrumentation. Perform minor surgical procedures under supervision, as credentialed. Post-Operative Management Monitor patients in the recovery phase, including vital signs and wound care. Remove sutures, drains, and staples as appropriate. Modify and implement treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical findings. Provide discharge instructions, education, and coordinate follow-up care.
Administrative Duties Accurately document patient encounters, operative notes, and treatment plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care. Adhere to hospital policies, surgical protocols, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
