RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 15-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility
• Patient ratios of 5:1, maximum 6:1
• Day shift: 1 charge nurse (takes full patient load), 2 RNs, 1 CNA
• Night shift: 1 charge nurse (takes full patient load), 2 RNs, 1 CNA
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• On-call requirements seldom, only when overall hospital census is low
• Float to Med-Surge, Telemetry, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and overflow units between hospitals (excludes ICU)
• Work with equipment including vital sign machines, transfer equipment (hoyer lift, sliding boards), EKG, bladder scanner
• Use Meditech EMR system and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Perform patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration
• Conduct bedside report/handoff and hourly rounding
• Must ensure bed alarm activation for patient safety
• Transfer training and EMR proficiency required
• Rehab experience and rehab scoring documentation preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and RN licensure
• Must demonstrate teamwork and initiative
