RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide cardiovascular intensive care nursing for recent open heart recovery patients
• Care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in cardiac medical surgical unit
• Work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, pacemaker patients, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, and sepsis patients
• Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, A-lines, multiple IVs, and short-term ventilation support
• Provide care for general medical and surgical patients on the in-patient unit from admission to discharge
• Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision
• Act as clinical leader and assist with precepting staff
• Use multiple IV pumps, invasive lines, and patients requiring noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support
• Perform basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
• High School Diploma or equivalent and degree from accredited nursing program required
• Critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience preferred
• Recent critical care experience required
• Current State of Montana RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
