Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Unit Specific Details
CVICU RN
NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (no candidates within 50-mile radius)
MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)
One year minimum (2+ years preferred) CVICU experience required (including ability to recover an immediate post-op CABG).
Swan/PA catheter experience required
ECMO, IABP, Impella experience preferred (won't need to manage ECMO on own but will need to work with the perfusionist)
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
12-Hr DAYS, Every other weekend/major holiday required
ITO interviews
Unit Specific Details
8-Bed CVICU
Equipment: Alaris pumps, hoyer lift, vents, sara stedy, PCA, glucostabalizer, bedside cardiac monitor
Patient Population: Cardiac bypass, cardiac surgery, adult patients (CABG's, TAVR's, VAD's, Pacemaker's, AICD's, etc.)
No techs but will call for one if higher census than normal (7-8 patients)
Ratio*: 1:1-2
*All listed ratios are subject to change based on staffing availability at the facility. Ratios are never guaranteed but are what the unit typically attempts to achieve with normal staffing.
